1. Analysis of the integration landscape
The first step is a thorough analysis of the company’s requirements. We analyze the application and integration landscape to determine which systems require communication with one another. We identify bottlenecks and opportunities for optimization along the way.
2. Description of functional processes
Our integrations with D365FO always follow the functional processes within the system. We carefully describe this process, define the starting point of the integration and determine what data is needed to manage other systems for outbound integrations. For inbound integrations, we specify exactly what data has to be processed and what tasks need to be completed for inbound integrations.
3. Defining interfaces
Based on the process description, we create interface documents that define exactly how data is processed in D365FO, down to entity, table and field level. This also specifies which functions should be executed and which events should be triggered for outgoing data flows. In addition, we determine which data should be retrieved from D365FO.
4. Design of the integration solution
We identify how applications communicate with each other, both technically and functionally. In doing so, we analyze which integration strategy fits best and whether data needs to be transformed or enriched. This guarantees a smooth, effective data flow and eliminates unnecessary complexity.
We develop a detailed plan outlining how the various applications and systems will integrate seamlessly with each other. This design fully aligns with the defined integrations and business needs.
5. Implementation and testing
We start the implementation as soon as the design is approved. We set up the integration and test it extensively to ensure that everything functions correctly and efficiently.
6. Maintenance and management
After going live, we monitor and manage the integration. We ensure that all integrations continue to work optimally and apply improvements where necessary.
